and some more pictures
These ones include some of our vacation this past summer to Lethbridge (AB, not NFLD) for my youngest brother's wedding, as well as pictures of our new house and church here in Charlottetown. I think Deanna may have some of these on her Facebook but i am not sure.
So, again, enjoy!!!

Pictures are Here
And here we go. Took a few tries but they got up and loaded finally.
As to Charlottetown, great place to be, busy place to be. We are really enjoying ourselves with all the ministry opportunities and people we are meeting. Life is never dull and never boring. Oh, and the kids keep us busy too, just in case work doesn't carry over at all.
So, enjoy the pictures, we enjoyed taking them.
More will likely become available as the winter progresses. No snow yet :( but I hear they have lots at home and in Winnipeg. No one here seems very excited about winter.
Cheers

08 October 2009
been a while since anything has been posted here. Maybe some day.
Charlottetown is still a beautiful city and Deanna and I have certainly enjoyed our time here so far and looking forward to many years ahead spending time in the Maritimes.
Reason for this post is that I am currently uploading new photos to our Flickr page so they should be available shortly.
They are from a day spent out at Cavendish Beach on the north shore.
Cheers

And our appointment is...
Well, maybe this will be the last post (isn't that a song??) Deanna and I have been appointed to Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island off the east coast of Canada. We are very excited and are looking forward to our time there starting in July.
Charlottetown is the birthplace of Canada where the original documents were signed back in 1867 creating Canada as an independent country from the United Kingdom.
Anyway, very historical, very pretty, very far east.

Final Days
Well I think you are looking at the final post, at least from me, on this blog. Frankly I don't have the time nor the inclination to keep it up and so it is going to go the way of the Dodo. I think blogs as a rule are neat and I generally enjoy reading them, but for me, no thanks. So...thanks to all who have read and kept up with me. I may post photos from time to time. I will let you know where we are ending up come April 24, 2009 as our appointment comes out. But I will be hiring a blog keeper, or at least let someone else do this for me.
Cheers

October and ... Rain?
It is that time again. I have looked at my blog several times and it is never updated and I begin to wonder why. Then I remember it is because I have to do it and it is not getting done.
Let's see.
September has been an awesome month. We have welcomed the new session into CFOT, the Prayer Warriors, they are a mixed bunch and we are looking forward to getting to know them better as the year progresses along.
We have re-entered the academic world full force and are enjoying all the assignments we have coming due.
The kids are all back in school and having a great time so far. Their classmates are really good and they seem to really like their teachers.
We have suffered no serious injuries or sicknesses thus far.
Deanna and I are posted to Weetamah Corps for our school year brigading corps, this is the same place we spent our summer assignment and we are very pleased. It is an amazing place where you get to deal with and work with real people and see every day the ministry that is done there.
Tonight was our Thanksgiving Dinner down there. We have been cooking and preparing since mid week, last week, and today was the harvest of our labours. Approximately 550 people came through the doors to have a turkey dinner served to them. Great attitude, great food, great service. We also had Cheryl Bear and her family provide singing for us. She is a well known and respected Aboriginal Singing artist and she came down and sang for everyone while they were in the chapel waiting to get into the seating area. The Prayer Warriors helped serve the meal and I think this is the first real glimpse any of them have had at some of what goes on at Weetamah on a regular basis.
You may have noticed I have updated the pictures on the Flickr link on the side there. We have pictures from our summer here in Winnipeg
Hope that you all are having a great Thanksgiving Weekend and get a chance to spend some of it with some kind of friends or family. Enjoy.
Cheers
